Corporate History
After 20 years of experience in the CBRNE community and 14 years at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Micah Carlson founded DAS in 2010 to facilitate technology transfer from research to fielded systems and leverage best-of-breed solutions for the prevention, detection and mitigation of threats.
As the Defense Industry has evolved, the need for a diverse, unified technical team for systems integration has become increasingly prominent. Solutions can no longer rely simply on one “breakthrough” technology. More and more, solutions require optimizing the integration of various systems seamlessly. New capabilities like Edge Computing and other low-latency highly-mobile technology areas require a robust technical team to integrate these capabilities with legacy systems. DAS brings together a broad variety of technical experts to ensure complete, functional, holistic solutions.
Leveraging our cleared, multidisciplinary staff, DAS provides full-spectrum, mission-ready systems optimized to meet our customers’ operational needs.
